I am once again pulling my horse trailer with my F-350 I arrive at the clinic and everyone stares at the trailer wondering where all the noise is coming from. I run inside the barn and clean out a stall and fill it with water and hay and a little grain. I run back to the trailer with a lead rope in my hand. I go inside and clip the lead rope on his halter and slip a stud chain over his nose and push the slant against the wall and jump out of the stallion's way. He goes charging out practically dragging me with him. I run out and finally gain control. Good thing I got your stall by only a few horses! I walk him around and around until he cools off a bit. Then he starts seeing other horses out in pastures and totally freaks out. I know you want to go out! But not yet! You have to get acquainted first! I lead him out to the back of the barn where there isn't much activity and he starts settling down. I then lead him in the barn and towards the back there is an open stall next to some geldings. I lead him into it and quickly take the halter off and shut the door. He starts pacing and stuff. I'm sorry boy I know you wanna go out but I have to go and you need to get used to this place! I pet his nose and walk out of the barn and shut the trailer and drive home.

Hey boy! I slip on his halter and lead rope and look over his leg. You aren't putting much weight on it are you? You better not be or i'll put a sling on ya! You wouldn't like that believe me! I walk him around for about 10 minutes on a really soft surface. I tie him up there and clean out his stall and put a really really deep bedding in so he doesn't have as much pressure on his leg. I wash out his buckets and put his feed and water in them and put the hay in the haybag. I grab a grooming bucket and brush his whole body with a curry comb to get all the dirt off. Then I go over his coat with a stiff brush. Then I grab a soft brush and brush him with that. Then I brush him with the finishing brush and the polishing rag. I hope that coat will gleam again someday! I grab the mane and tail brush and brush his mane and tail out really good. You were so beautiful when you were showing. I pick out his feet being careful so that he doesn't put much weight on his leg. There I got all those icky rocks out of your feet. Well of course with a little help with seditive. Don't worry boy you'll get to trust me soon. I'm not that bad really! I take care of my horses everyday! If I don't I tell them i'm sorry! Cobalt was sooo shy when I brought him and now look at him, he is a lover boy now! Lol I pat him on the neck. I run and get some herbal things and rub some remedies by his nose so he relaxes. I rub quite a bit on so he'll be relaxed for quite awhile and I even added some to your water! You can't taste it don't worry. I pet him softly on the the forehead and then quickly grab a brush and brush off his face. Now I would have never been able to do that without remedies! I comb through his forelock with my fingers. I put something in your feed to make your coat shine again and help you gain weight. Well I'll leave you alone now. I put his clean stable blanket on him so he doesn't get cold. There all better? I slowly lead him into his stall and slip his halter off trying not to make noise to disturb his relaxation. I walk out of the stall quietly shutting the door. He eats his feed and then drifts off to sleep. I smile knowing that he's relaxed. I tell the horses around him to be quiet lol. Bye Saade I'll see you tomorrow!

Hey Saadeek! Sorry I don't have a lot of time today! I slowly lead him to another soft surface and tie him there and clean out his stall and his buckets. I fill his water bucket with water and run to mix up his feed. I add remedies to it to help him with his problems and put hay in his haybag. I dump it in his feed bucket and then add extra shavings to make sure that it is soft enough for his leg. I lead him around the soft surface a few times so he doesn't get fluid built up in his legs. I brush him really good and then put him back in his stall. I really wanna spend more time with you and I know you wanna go outside but I don't have time today and yor leg is still in recovery! I'll hopefully have more time for you tomorrow. Bye Saadeek i'll see you tomorrow!

Hey boy! Is your leg feeling better yet? I lead him out to the soft surface again and clean out his stall really good and clean his buckets. I go mix up his feed with remedies and dump it in his feed bucket and fill his water bucket with fresh water and put hay in his haybag. I make sure his stall is deep and soft for his leg. I grab the grooming bucket and walk over to where he is tied. I brush over him with a curry comb first and then a hard brush, soft brush, then the finishing brush. I comb out his mane and tail and then gently brush his face and he only throws it a little. Your beginning to trust me! I pick out all of his hooves being careful not to hurt his leg. I then lead him back into his stall. He starts eating right away and I make sure he is comfortable enough. I slip off his blanket and shake it out and then put it back on him. I pat his back and leave the stall. Bye Saadeek I'll see you tomorrow!

Hey how's my big boy!! I pat him on the neck and slip on his halter quick so he doesn't throw his head. I lead him out onto the soft surface again and brush him off really good and pick out his feet. I brush out his mane and tail and quickly but gently brush his face. I take off his blanket and shake it out and turn it upsidedown on a saddle rack. I clean his stall really good and fill it with shavings making sure it's soft enough for his leg. I run into the feed room and scoop 3 scoops of grain into a bucket and put some remedies in it. I mix it up really good and I clean out his buckets first then dump it in his feed bucket. I fill up his water bucket with fresh water and put his hay in his haybag. I go pick up his blanket and put it on him the right way and latch the buckles. I lead him back to his stall and slip off his halter and he sticks his nose in his feed. I laugh and walk out of the stall. Bye Sadd I'll see you tomorrow!

Hey Saad! How are you! I grab his halter and lead rope and quickly slip the halter over his head and clip on the lead rope. I lead him out and tie him up on the soft surface again. I run and grab a grooming bucket and take off his stable blanket and shake it out and turn it upside down on a saddle rack. I grab a curry comb and slowly brush over his coat with it. Then I grab the hard brush and brush him with that, then the softer brush and the finishing brush. I can see the improvment in his weight and his outlook since I started adding remedies. I walk him around for a little bit so his legs don't get filled with fluid. I tie him up again and get the muck cart and clean out his stall and make sure it's filled with a lot of shavings so it is soft enough for his leg. I clean out his feed and water buckets too. I run into the feed room and scoop about 3 scoops of feed into a bucket and then add the remedies to it. I grab a mixing stick and mix it up really good. I then go back to his stall and dump all of it in his feed bucket. Then I fill up his water bucket with fresh water and put hay in his haybag. I shake out his blanket one more time and then flip it back over the right way and put it on his back and buckle it. I slowly lead him back into his stall and slip his halter off and hang it outside his stall. I come back in and shut the door and sit in the back corner just watching him. When he's done eating he walks over by me and lays down. I rub his neck glad that he's starting to trust me. I pat im one last time and get up and streach and quietly walk out of the stall. Bye Saad i'll see you tomorrow!

Hey boy! I rub his forehead and slip a halter over his head. I lead him out and tie him up on the soft sand. I run and grab a grooming bucket. I rub him all over with a curry comb, hard brush, dandy brush, then a finishing brush. His coat has a slight gleam to it. I take off his stable blanket and turn it upside down and shake it out and hang it on a rack while I walk him around on the soft sand. I tie him back up then run and get the muck cart and muck out his stall and fill it with a LOT of shavings to make sure it's soft enough. I wash out his feed and water buckets and run into the feed room. I scoop 3 scoops of sweet feed into a bucket and put the remedies inside and mix it up really good. I dump the feed into his feed bucket and fill up his water bucket with fresh water. I put hay in his haybag and then walk back to him. I take his blanket and shake it out one more time and put it on him and buckle it. Then I lead him back into his stall and slip the halter off and walk out of the stall. Bye boy i'll see you tomorrow!

Hey Saad! Today we're gonna check on your leg! Since I don't have any of the equipment here I fill up my trailer with soft bedding and slowly lead him inside. I give him some Rescue Remedy for him to calm down in the trailer. I shut the slant and the trailer door and get in the truck and drive to the clinic. Once I get there I lead him into a check up stall and give him something for him to get sleepy and lay down. I take off the cast and take X-rays and see what they look like. Well it's getting a lot better! I take down the X-rays and put them in his file and go back to him. I wrap his leg in a plaster type thing with some soft rubbery stuff on the bottom so it decreases pressure. Then once I get it done I take off my doctor coat and gloves and wait for him to get up. I slip on his halter and lead rope and wait. He gets up a few moments later and I lead him into the trailer and drive home. He is more alert when we get to the barn. I lead him out and tie him up on the soft sand inside. I grab the grooming bucket and brush him off really good. I shake off his stable blanket and turn it upside down while I clean his stall and buckets really good and run down to the feed room and mix up his feed. I run back and dump it in his feed bucket and fill his water bucket with fresh water and put hay in his haybag. I shake out his stable blanket one last time and put it on him and buckle it. I slowly lead him back into his stall and take his halter off and hang it outside his stall. Bye boy i'll see you tomorrow!

I run into the barn and get to his stall. I'm really sorry I didn't come yesterday. I'm just having a really bad week I bring him out and tie him up on the soft sand and clean out his stall (blah it's pretty dirty) and his buckets. I put in fresh shavings and make sure it's soft enough for him then I go into the feed room and scoop three scoops of grain into a bucket and add some remedies to it and mix it up and go back to his stall and dump it in his feed bucket. Then I fill his water bucket with fresh water and fill put his hay in the haybag. I make sure his stall is neat and tidy and I take off his blanket and shake it out and throw it in the wash and grab a grooming bucket and run over to him. I grab the curry comb and comb all the dirt and stuff off and then go over that with the stiff brush. Then I go over it with a dandy brush and then the finishing brush. I make sure he trusts me around his head first then I brush it off with the dandy brush. I grab the mane and tail comb and brush out his mane and tail really good. He is really starting to put weight on and his coat is starting to shine again. I quickly run and throw his blanket in the dryer and I run back to him just brushing him with the dandy brush again. Once I get almost every spot with fur on it done I run and get his blanket. Tada! All clean! I show him both sides like a lady on Jepordy would do (lol). Then I shake it out again and gently place it on his back. I buckle all the buckles and make sure he's comfortable. Then I lead him back into his stall and slip off his halter. Boy these have to be washed too. I say goodbye to Saadeek and throw the halter in the wash and then when it's done washing I throw it in the dryer and then hang it up on his stall. Bye boy i'll see you tomorrow.

Hey boy! I walk into his stall and slip his halter over his head and lead him out onto the sand. I tie him up and take off his blanket and shake it out and flip it upside down and hang it on a rack and clean out his stall. I start whistling and he seems to enjoy it. I laugh and get back to cleaning it. When I'm done I grab both of his buckets and wash them both out really good and hang them back in his stall. I run into the feed room and scoop 3 scoops of sweet feed into a bucket with remedies added. I mix it up really good and when I get back he starts pulling on the lead rope and I dump it in his feed bucket. You can't have it yet! I grab the hose and fill up his water bucket with water. I put his three flakes of hay in his haybag and reel up the hose and go into the tack room and grab the feed bucket that says "§unset §tables" and walk back over to Saadeek. I grab the curry comb and brush over his entire coat with that. Then I get a stiff brush and go over it, then the dandy brush, then the finishing brush. The finishing brush makes his coat shine. I grab the dandy and go over his face with me glad that he now trusts me a lot more. I grab the mane and tail comb and brush out his tail gently until all the knots are out and I go to his mane and brush it out really good and then brush his forelock. I start cleaning all the brushes off and I was suprised how dirty they were! I make sure they're all clean and then put the groomin bucket back in the tack room. I grab his blanket brush off both sides and shake it out again and set it on his back and buckle it. I lead him back into his stall and I can tell he's starting to get his perkyness back. He almost always has his ears forward and his head out the stall door. I walk out of his stall and leave the top half of the door open for him to look out. I kiss his nose and say goodbye and walk out.

Hey how's my boy! Were gonna do your leg again today. I walk into his stall and he whinnies loudly and shoves his head into me. I can see you want a scratching. He nods his head and I laugh and rub his forehead. I slip his halter and put on his shipping gear and quick give him some rescue remedy and slowly lead him into my waiting trailer. I walk him up the ramp and into the slant. I clip the tie to his halter and take the lead rope off and hang it on my arm and I slowly shut the slant and put in the bolt. I walk out of the trailer and lift up the ramp and make sure it's shut good enough and I open up his window so he can say bye to all his little friends. He whinnies in my ear and I get into my F-350 and drive towards the clinic. I can tell Saadeek enjoys car trips. I pull into the clinic driveway a half an hour later and hop out of my truck and open the ramp and put his lead rope on and take the bolt out of the slant and unclip the tie and lead him out into the clinic hallway and take him into the large X-ray stall where i'll look him over. I tie him up in there and shut the door and take off his shipping stuff and go get my gloves and everything and come back into the stall. I give him some seditives and he lays down and I take off the cast he's wearing. I put the lead blanket over him and slip the plate under his leg and run behind the window and take an X-ray. I take another one at a different angle and go get the prints. I clip them in the light thing and study his fracture. It's healing up nicely! It should be pretty much healed up in 2-3 weeks! I take down the prints and put them in his file and go back into the stall. I redo his leg and make sure his leg is supported to help the process. Once he wakes up and is out of his drousy mode I put his shipping gear back on and lead him into the trailer and put him in the slant. I shut the ramp and then drive back home. Once I get there I take him out and lead him into the soft sand and take off his shipping gear and shake out his stable blanket and put it on a rack. I clean out his stall and buckets really good and make sure the bedding is nice and clean and soft for him. I run into the feed room and scoop 3 scoops of feed in his bucket with remedies and mix it up and dump it in his feed bucket. Then I fill up his water bucket with fresh water and put his hay in the haybag and grab his grooming bucket. I brush him off really good and get all his itchy spots. I clean off all the brushes and put the grooming bucket back and shake out his stable blanket one last time and set it on his back and buckle it. I then lead him back into his stall and slip off his halter and he makes a dive for his feed. I laugh and slip out of his stall leaving the top door open. Bye Saadeek I'll see you later!

Hi boy! You're the one I spend the most time with lol. I slip on his halter and lead him out onto the sand and tie him up and take off his blanket and shake it out and turn it upside down. I clean out his stall really good and clean out both of his buckets. I run into the feed room and dump 3 scoops of feed into the bucket and add remedies to it and mix it up and dump it in his feed bucket. I run and get the hose and fill up his water bucket with fresh water. I wind up the hose and grab his grooming bucket. I walk back over to him and give him a hug and grab the shedding blade. Sure enough, when I brush him little bits of hair start falling. I go over his entire coat with it and then I go over that with the curry comb. Then I go over it with a dandy brush and then the finishing brush. Then I brush out his mane and tail and clean out his feet being careful of his leg. I have to clean my brushes again because of all the hair. First I go over to his blanket and take all the hair off the inside with the shedding blade. Then I clean off the brushes and put the grooming bucket back. I go tidy up the tack room so it's easier access to others in the clinic. When I get back Saadeek is dozing so I quietly shake out his blanket again and gently set it on his back. I buckle all the straps and things then he wakes up. I rub the star on his forehead and smooth it out again. I untie his lead rope and lead him in tiny circles and then into his stall. I take off his halter and put it on my arm and give him one last hug. Then I walk out and leave the top door open and hang his halter on his door. Bye boy I will see you tomorrow I say and I kiss his nose and walk out of the clinic.

Hi Saadeek. I walk into his stall with his halter and lead. I slip on his halter and lead him out into the sand. Oh boy you don't look too good. I run out to my truck and grab a thermometer and take his temp. Awww it looks like you got a little cold. I check him all over to make sure that's the only thing wrong. Hmm I think you got a touch of strangles. Well luckily you're on the end stall and aren't by any horses so you shouldn't be contagious. I take off his blanket and shake it out and flip it upside down. Then I clean out his stall really good and put a little bit of antibacterial spray in it to hopefully help him get better soon. I clean out his buckets extra extra good and run into the feed room and scoop 3 scoops of grain into a bucket and add his remedies and some others to help him get over his cold. I mix it up really good and dump the contents into his feeder. I fill up his bucket with fresh water and put his hay in his haybag and grab his grooming bucket. I brush him off really good and sort of faster because he's shivering a little. I make sure he's all groomed off. I run and grab his fleece and shake it out and put it on his back and then shake out his stable blanket one more time and then put it on his back and buckle it. Then I make sure he's warm enough and then lead him back into his stall. I slip off his halter and hang it ouside his stall and walk into his stall. C'mon eat your feed boy it will help you feel better. I try to urge him to eat it and he eats a little bit. Good boy I say as I pat his neck. I give him a hug and a kiss on the nose and then walk out. Bye boy i'll see you tomorrow. I shut the top door so he doesn't make anyone sick. Good thing you still have a light source. Bye boy i'll see you tomorrow.
