I walk into William's stall. "How are you doing today ol' pal?" I hook him up to his halter and lead rope and lead him out into the asile to be cross-tied. I groom him and tack him up. I take him out and run him through his gaits. I try to get him to jog trot. It takes hima while to get used to it, but after a few (hundred!) tries he finally understood and did what he was asked. His first session was a success! I take him back to the stable and untack and groom him. I put him back in his stall! CYA later willie!

I go get willie and cross-tie him. "Hello pal! How are you doing today? I'm going to work you kind of easy today because I'm going to leisure ride you later. We're going to work on slowing the canter today!" He sort of rolls his eyes. "I know, I know," I say grooming him. "But if we want to be multi-diciplined we need to learn this stuff!" I tack him up and lead him to the indoor arena. I mount and take him around the arena a couple times at a walk. Then I trot him 4 times around then I start the canter. I canter him at his regular speed for 2 laps to help burn off some energy. "OK now we're gonna try to slow this down!" I pull back slightly on the reins but sqeeze gently with my heels. He slows down a bit but if we were in a show it would not have placed. I pull back a little more and....YIPEE! He finally got the perfect canter! Smooth enough to not have to worry about spilling a glass of water if I had one with me and gentle enough like being on a rocking horse. I kept him at that pace for 4 laps and then I stopped him and dismounted. "Good Job today!" I lead him back to the cross-tie and untack and groom him. "I'll be back in a couple of hours to check up on you for fun!" I put him back in his stall.

*Hello William! We have a lot of work to do today! We get to do head tucking today! YIPEE!* He grunts. I groom him and tack him up and lead him to the arena and mount. I take him through his paces. The I dismount and put draw reins on. I work with the head tucking in his jog trot and slow canter. He did it very well. After an hour of riding I dismount and lead him back to the barn, untack and groom him. *See you later!*
