I lead Sandy into the stall, worriedly. I've heard about the 'flu in horses, and how much more serious it is than in humans. She does look alright, though. Not half as bad as Lark. I walk her up and down the main walkway of the clinc, with the stalls on either side. We come back into the stall, and I feed her, groom her, and give her the medicines. I give her a last kiss goodbye and set off to the vet's.

"Did you have a nice time at the hotel, sweety-pie?" I ask Sandy. She seems so much better! I work her just a bit; being careful not to over-exert her. When we come back in I give her the herbal remedies and breakfast. I also give her a quick grooming. "Sorry I can't stay long, sweet honey girl! Bye!"

"Hey, there, Sandy! I'm so sorry I didn't come yesterday. Stuff at the house was CRAZY!" Sandy nickers and seems so much better! "Ya feeling better, sweety?" I am expecting a bob of the head, but nothing. "Ah well, you're a horse! What can you expect?" Sandy nudged me as if saying, "may I expect BREAKFAST now?" I grin and clip on Sandy's lead rope. I walk her around in the clinic's main isle, and then bring her back into her stall. "How's about that breakfast?" I ask. I pour her some beet pellets and she gobbles them up. I fill her water bucket after washing it out, and then give her a good grooming. "We're gonna got to the vets and see if you can go HOME yet!"
