I put five bags of shavings in the stall to make it really comfy for the baby. I then gently lead her into the stall, going slowly, letting her take her time. I make sure she's settled and then I go get the milk formula. I bottle feed her until the milk is all gone. "Good girl!" I put a new foal blanket on her so she's nice and warm. She falls asleep so I step out and close the door.

I walk into her stall and she just picks up her head and looks at me. Hey girl, I feel so bad for you. She looks so listless and her eyes are dull. I wish your owner hadn't abandoned you. I'll take very good care of you! I walk slowly up to her with the formula the vet gave me and sit down beside her. She snuggles up to me and I start bottle feeding her. She finishes most of it...so I take it away. She looks so tired now but I have to put warmer blankets on her. I help her stand up and she does, but she's very wobbly. I quickly take her one blanket off and put a fleece on her instaed. Then I put a very light blanket on her and then a heavy blanket. I wanted her to be plenty warm enough. After I'm done I clean out her stall around her and put two bags of fresh shavings in it. She snuggles in a corner and falls fast asleep. I give her a kiss and close the door. Night baby, I love you!

"Hey baby, how are you?" I walk quietly into her stall and kneel down beside her. She wakes up and looks very excited when she sees her bottle. She stands up and so do I. I start feeding her her formula and she swishes her tail in happiness. "I'm glad you're feeling better!" She finishes all the formula this time and plays around her stall. I decide to take her on a little walk up and down the barn aisle. I put her little foal size halter on and clip the leadline to it. I keep it very long and she follows calmly behind me. She's pretty used to the leadline. I walk her up and down and even trot her a little. She bucked at first because she had so much energy but then calmed down. She started to canter for a minute but I slowed her down right away. I made sure she was nice and cool and walked her back to her stall. I took off her halter and leadline and hung them back up. I started cleaning out her stall and she decided to "Help". She kept biting the pitchfork so I wouldn't lift it up and then she kicked the muck bucket. "Last Dream! Stop!" She looked dejectedly up at me and I laughed. "You look soooo pitiful!" I finally manage to clean her stall and put two more bags of shavings down. I give her a little treat and a pat and walk out of the stall. I close the door and she looks up at me. " I'll be back tomorrow baby. I love you!"

I walk quietly up to her stall and look in. My little filly is curled up in the corner of her stall fast asleep. I open the door as quiet as I could but she hears me and lifts her head up drowsily. "Hey girl, how are you? You certainly look a lot better" She stands up and walks shakily over to me. I have her formula behind my back and I know that's what she wants. I lift it up and start feeding it to her. She sucks at it hungrily. Last Dream finishes it and there's milk dripping from her whiskers. I laugh and then start cleaning out her stall. She stays out of the way for the most part. Towards the end she got a little bored so she kept biting the pitchfork but she eventually stopped. I finished and put four bags of shavings down for extra insulation because it was supposed to be cold. I Take off her blankets and quickly brush her soft coat. Once done, I picked out her little feet and combed out her mane and tail. I put a fleece on her and then a light blanket and then a heavy. I wanted her to be plenty warm. I made sure she was all set for the rest of the night and then gave her a kiss goodbye. As I was closing the door I saw her curling up in the corner of her stall. "Night girl, I love you!"
